About Master Li

It became clear early in Master Li Junfeng’s life that his career would follow a non-traditional, unpredictable path. His first major accomplishment, as head coach of the renowned Beijing Wushu (martial arts) Team, was an unheard of 12 continuous undefeated seasons. Because of this success, he caught the eye of the martial arts movie industry in China and became the lead actor in “Deadly Fury,” also known as “The Honor of Dongfang Xu,” the first kung fu movie produced in the People’s Republic of China. It was an overnight sensation and won the National Film Award. Master Li went on to star in and choreograph five films in total, enhancing his fame throughout the country.

But these great achievements did not bring contentment for Master Li. Through deep meditation, he found the guidance that led him to his true purpose: to help people all over the world understand the power of love by teaching them a moving and non-moving meditation used for real life. He created a comprehensive system of health and healing called Sheng Zhen, or Unconditional Love, and founded the International Sheng Zhen Society.

Many years have gone by since those beginning days of Sheng Zhen, and Master Li has continued his dedication to bringing the graceful, healing forms and inspired philosophy of this powerful meditation to the world. He has taught Sheng Zhen workshops, seminars and teacher trainings in over 30 countries across 6 continents, certifying scores of teachers to help spread messages of love, health and happiness.

Today, there are Sheng Zhen practitioners and teachers all over the globe who have benefited from Master Li’s unique ability to transmit his knowledge to others—with profound love, compassion, and humor.

Master Li is now in his eighth decade and maintains an unflagging devotion to writing, teaching, and public speaking. He has presented talks before the World Health Organization; the Parliament of World Religions in Salt Lake City, Utah; the World Science and Consciousness Center; and a TEDx audience in New Delhi, India, to name just a few.

He and his wife currently live in Santa Barbara, California, but Master Li is a citizen of the world, spending time every year in China, Europe, the Philippines, Israel, Australia, and many regions of the US.

Master Li’s books include “A Return to Oneness,” “Sheng Zhen Healing Meditation, the Removal of Disease in Three Parts,” “Awakening the Soul,” “Origin of the Heart,” and “Sheng Zhen Meditation, Breath of Life, Healing from the Lungs.”

He serves on the board of the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong and the Qigong Science Research Association of China.
